About
My professional experience is centered around teaching, research and consulting in the vast and captivating world of Human Resource Management.
I have been teaching for the last 9 years a variety of courses related to management and to HRM supported by academic research on HRM practices in Lebanon, with an interest in the strategic HRM paradigm as well as in the new value-added paradigm. I am also interested in the role that HRM can play in implementing knowledge management initiatives. intellectual capital (more specifically human capital) is also a field that I like to dive into, and most recently the status of women in academia.
My consulting work is also centered around HRM. I have been involved in several projects where the main tasks involved restructuring the organization, writing job descriptions, drafting employee manuals, internal regulations manual, creating an infrastructure for the HRM department as well as a HRM plan, and designing a compensation structure and a performance management system.
Research interests
Strategic HRM, knowledge management and HRM, human capital, value added through HRM, HRM in lebanon, institutional theory and HRM, systems theory and HRM, Resource-based view and HRM, women in academia, gender issues.
